THE MUNROS. A LIMITED COLLECTION OF SINGLE MALT CASK STRENGTH WHISKIES
The Munros is the name used to identify the 282 mountains in Scotland that are over 3,000 feet (914.4metres) above sea level. They are named in honour of Sir Hugh T Munro who surveyed and catalogued all 282 mountains in 1891 and they form some of Scotland's finest scenery. We use The Munros for our most special collection of Single Malt Cask Strength Scotch Whiskies and we are paying tribute to the 282 summits of Scotland.

Bowmore 25 Year Old Single Malt
Nose – A powerful blend of smoke and peat but, given a moment or two to develop, this dram opens into a rich and rewarding aroma with notes of oak.
Taste – This is a beauty – a great mouthfeel with much warmth and initial sweetness but finishes with a dryness of quite tart plums. All the time there is the smokiness, the peat and the oak character that reminds one of being locked in a traditional log cabin. An Islay Single Malt that might convert some of those who usually run a mile from too much smoke and peat.
Finish – As one might imagine, this dram has a prodigiously long finish – dry, oak and back to the tart plums …. but in a very pleasant way.
